Class Placement

Class placement is based on ability and age appropriateness for the movement being taught. An Institute instructor will recommend class placement for students upon registration and trial class. Students previously enrolled with the Institute for Dance, Inc. will receive class placement for the next school year before the Summer session. During the summer students are to remain in the same level that they were enrolled in for the previous school year.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition stays the same every month whether it is a month with three, four or five weeks. Checks should be made payable to Institute for Dance with the registrant's name on the memo line. We do not send out monthly statements. We encourage you to take advantage of our autocharge program utilizing a debit or credit card. Please see the office or email accounts@institutefordance.org if you would like more information.

Requirement of Notice

Written notice is required 30 days in advance for withdrawal from classes. Tuition for the current level of class enrollment will continue to be charged until written notice is received. You may either leave notice in the office or e-mail the office at registration@institutefordance.org.

Attendance

To reach full potential in class, a student must attend on a regular basis. If students miss class, there will be no make-ups unless it is advised by the instructor. TUITION WILL NOT BE PRO-RATED FOR MISSED CLASSES.

Punctuality

Your child is put at a disadvantage and the class is disrupted by tardiness. If too much of the class is missed the student will be asked to sit and watch in consideration of his/her physical safety.

Cancellation of Classes

If lack of enrollment causes a class to be cancelled (less than five students) all concerned students will be personally notified and assisted in finding an appropriate alternative class.
