June Show

Our dancers performed on June 8, 2008 at Bruton High School in Williamsburg for an afternoon of Dancing Across America!
We held a design contest for the design of our June Show Program Cover. Congratulations to our winner Lucia Yacono! Thanks to all the parents, families and fans who turned out to see the show!



 

2007 Holiday Show - Christmas in Williamsburg

Thanks to everyone who helped put on our 2007 Holiday Show. Thanks also to everyone who joined us with their families at the Kimball Theatre.

June Show

On June 24, 2007 at Bruton High School, our students presented two lively, crowd-pleasing performances of "We're All in this Together." We appreciate all of the hard work by students and staff, as well as crucial support from many parents and other volunteers. Well done!

An Occasion for the Arts

Our students performed for Williamsburg's annual An Occasion for the Arts on October 1, 2006, at the Kimball Theatre in Merchant's Square. Students performed ballet, hip-hop, character, tap, jazz, Celtic, and musical theatre numbers. Thanks to those who helped us celebrate art and music in Williamsburg.

The Nutcracker 2006

Abi Stafford & Adam HendricksonAbi Stafford and Adam Hendrickson, both soloists with the New York City Ballet, returned as the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Cavalier. Other guest appearances included Cornelius Bartlett as Harlequin, Mirliton, Russian, and Court Jester, Stan Evanstine as Counselor Drosselmeyer, Adelle Carpenter as the Mouse King, Russian, and Maid, Noelle Mattox as Tirolese, and Lauren Cluett as the Dewdrop Fairy.

The starring role of Klara was danced by senior student Lexie Peterson. Other senior students featured were Kelly McCormack as the Nutcracker, Starr Needre as Soldier Doll, Muriel Mills as Columbine, Rachel Lord as Mirliton, and Lindsay Kravitz as the Grandmother.

We once again partnered with the Pennsylvania Regional Ballet. The PRB provided additional dancers as Snowflakes, Snow Queen and King, Arabian, and Waltz of the Flowers.

The 29th production of The Nutcracker was performed at The College of William and Mary's Phi Beta Kappa Memorial Hall on December 16-17, 2006.

Community Outreach

Institute for Dance students performed ballet, hip-hop, character, tap, jazz, Celtic, and musical theatre numbers at local retirement communities. Students performed at Chambrel on November 10, 2006 at 7 p.m. They also performed at Patriot's Colony on January 19, 2007 at 7 p.m.
